Thoughts & Concerns..... "If my sister could take Mom in for just one month, perhaps she would be more understanding of the day-to-day responsibity. I want to take care of her and wouldn't have it any other way. But sometimes I just get burned out and feel spread too thin. I wish my sister could simply give me a little relief from time to time, just for me to take a breather"
Gary M  --  Thursday, July 07, 2011

Gary M. MI/USA Nov. 2010 I looked accross the room and saw my two children, Janie 13 & Brian 18 years old, and I was determined not to follow my parents and decide to self insure. I had all the reasons sitting in front of me to at the least educate myself on Long Term Health care. If no one really wants to lose it all and end up in a nursing home, then why does it happen to so many good people each day, month, and year? Kurt made the process simple and easy, from start to finish. Thank you for helping me protect my two greatest assets.

Susanne N. MD/USA Jan. 2010 We visited our financial advisor concerning Long Term Care Insurance and by the time we left we felt more confussed about the coverage than when we walked in. We turned to LTC Financial Partners and Kurt Lauman, a LTCi Specialist, for further information and it was clear in the first 30 minutes that he was the guy for us. He made a very difficult coverage easy to understand and built a policy around us and our financial future. What he doesn't know is our Financial Advisor showed us the exact same policy and with the exact same carrier. Highest praises from us! Thanks and Best Regards Kurt
Fran S.   --  Sunday, June 26, 2011

Fran S MI/USA Nov 2011 Due to our current health situation we were unable to purchase a Long Term Care policy from Kurt, so we found another source that was able to provide us coverage. To whom it may concern, Kurt was the reason why we continued to purse coverage and the reason why we continue to ask for financial advice from him concerning Long Term Care, even though he his not our specialist on record. We wish that we had not waited too long to add the coverage to our portfolio because then we could have had Kurt as a our LTC Advisor. "Service after Process" above the rest and hard to find anymore! Thanks Kurt

"It's not something they would say no to, but can they provide you with the proper care needed? Everyone knows that someday they will need a little more than help. Managing the care of an elderly loved one can be overwhelming, stressful, time consuming, and very - very expensive.

Paying the Cost of Care  --  Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Paying the Cost of Care Having money to pay for long term care when the time comes is probably the most important part of the planning process. For a younger generation, long term care insurance makes the most sense. For the older generation that hasn't provided funds for care, there are other options that might be available. But they never work as well as the insurance. This quote also examines the past and future effect of inflation on various care services. The younger we plan, the less it will cost...(OAH)

Medicaid   --  Saturday, June 18, 2011

Dignity For Life vs. Medicaid The long term care financial burden on a family can be as heavy as the emotional toll. Some will end up spending a lifetime of savings only to be on state welfare/Medicaid at the very end of their lives. Where does that leave your loved one's after you pass? Regardless of what some may say, Medicaid Planning is really "Poverty Planning." You must be living at the poverty level to qualify for Medicaid. It is a federal crime to attempt to defraud Medicaid by hiding assets. Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplemental Insurance (Medigap), or standard medical insurance plans (HMO, PPO, Kaiser, Blue Cross, etc.) are NOT designed to pay for long term care expenses. 3in4 will need more...Kurt Lauman & LTCFP
Long Term Care  --  Saturday, June 18, 2011

Who pays for Long Term Care? There are two costs to long term care: financial and emotional. The question to ask yourself is: "What would be the financial and emotional consequences to my family and friends if I or we both needed long term care?" Using personal savings is equivalent to self-insuring in that personal funds are put at risk in order to cover the potential cost of care. This is the position that most people are in, though few would choose to see it this way. Financially the choices are: Self-insure (you or family pays) Health Insurance and Medicare pays for a short period Medicaid state welfare (Spend Down of Assets) Long-term care insurance 3in4 will need more.....Kurt Lauman &(LTCFP)
Long Term Care Insurance  --  Saturday, June 18, 2011

When should I apply to own a LTCi policy? LTC is definitely an investment, and we all definitely will get old. Most premiums for LTC are based upon your age, your current health & financial situation at the time of purchase. Investing in LTCi at a younger age is the key to possibly saving your retirement. Your premium is lower, you are hopefully healthier than you would be in your elder years and, you will more than likely be accepted for coverage. One does not want to wait to apply for coverage once he or she's health starts to decline. The ultimate cost may not be a higher premium but rather not eligible for a policy at all. 3in4 will need more....
What is Long Term Care   --  Friday, June 17, 2011

"What is Long Term Care?" Long-term care is a variety of services that includes medical and non-medical care to people who have a chronic illness or disability. Long-term care helps meet health or personal needs. Most long-term care is to assist people with support services such as activities of daily living like dressing, bathing, and using the bathroom. Long-term care can be provided at home, in the community, in assisted living or in nursing homes. It is important to remember that you may need long-term care at any age. You may never need long-term care. This year, about nine million men and women over the age of 65 will need long-term care. By 2020, 12 million older Americans will need long-term care. Most will be cared for at home; family and friends are the sole caregivers for 70 percent of the elderly. A study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says that people who reach age 65 will likely have a 40 percent chance of entering a nursing home. 3in4 will

How does one trigger the benefits.. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) *Everyday functions and activities individuals usually do without help. ADL functions include bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring. Many policies use the inability to do a certain number of ADLs (such as 2 of 6) or if one is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment to decide when to pay benefits. *To get complete details on how to trigger the benefits of a Long Term Care Insurance policy, one must contact a LTCi Specialists: Kurt Lauman (425)216-4909 or Kurt.Lauman@ltcfp.net

Cancer Costs will sore! A new report predicts that by 2020, the annual cost of cancer care in the United States is expected to reach at least $158 billion. According to the report from the U.S. National Cancer Institute that’s a 27 percent jump from 2010. The surge in cost will be largely driven by an aging population that is expected to develop more cases of cancer in the near-term. We are living longer and cancer costs will sore!

The Greatest Threat is... "The Greatest threat to the financial security of middle income Americans is the cost of long-term care medical care. Our nation's middle class can insure their cars agianst theft or damage, their house against flood, fire, and earthquakes. Even thier children agianst the cost of college and braces, and their families agianst the risk of early death. But when it comes to insuring the single greatest threat to their life savings and emotional reserves - the cost of long term care, Americans have NO protection. In many ways, it's as if we are all wearing bullet-proof vests with holes over our hearts. We're missing protection where we most need it." Late Senator John Heinz, former chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Aging

3In4 Need More "Yet most Americans have been inadequately facing the issue of how to pay for LTC. There is widespread misconception that Medicare or regular health insurance covers these expenses, while neither does. (Medicaid provides help with nursing home costs, but only for those without assets.) Government welfare program for the poor. Private long term care insurance is the answer for most Americans, yet only an estimated 10% of those who could benefit from an LTC policy actually have one. "We are insured if our house catches fire but we are not insured in the one area that can not only change your life financially but your families." Says Kurt Lauman and 3in4 Need More supporter.

When should I purchase Long Term Care Insurance? Waiting to purchase long-term care insurance could cost you even more as changes in your health may cause your rate to increase. Even worse, certain health changes could prevent you from qualifying for coverage at all. Plan ahead. Consider purchasing long-term care insurance at the earliest age you can. The ultimate cost could mean one is not eligible for a plan and require you and possibly your family to burden the financial cost. Kurt Lauman LTCi Specialist & Partner

03-2011 Jean L & David J of Maryland. I work for the Federal Government and have the ability to apply for the Federal Government Long Term Care Plan and I almost did. But I felt I should investigate and educate myself all my options concerning with Long Term Care Insurance. That is when I noticed online LTC Financial Partners came up very highly recommended, the most experienced and trustworthy Long-Term Care Agency in the US. More notability, a Long-Term Care agency that only specializes in Long Term Care Insurance. I was contacting with in 24 hours of submitting my request and was given the information on the differences between a Private-Traditional Plans vs. the Federal Government plans. What I noticed was both plan designs were great but what I realized very quickly that a carrier has to fit what is important to you. The Federal Government plan fit the mass, but if you can qualify for a traditional plan it gave David and myself more options, the ability to customize an

02-2011 Augusta M. - PA, USA I first want to thank Kurt, Lucas, and LTC Financial Partners with providing me with the information to make an educated "Big" decision. I saw both my parents who needed assistance in there mid 80's and I also saw how devistated our family was when we had to sell then house we grew up in and drain all their assets to pay for Long Term Care Services and ultimately have to turn to Medicaid. I do not want to be a burden on anybody and will not out live my money. I saw first hand what a disability will do to a family and I also saw our worse nightmare, "a" disability with no more money to pay for services. I call it dying with "Dignity" and at the very worse is it is a peace of mind. Once again, thank you Kurt & Lucas, keep it up and you both are making more than a difference than you think. Augusta M. 02-15-10 Jeanne S. For the past 3 1/2 years I have been caring for my mother and have taken on the financial responsibilty and the emotional burden of becoming a primary caregiver for my mother. My motive was to make sure that I don't become a burden on my only daughter or friends if I need Long Term Care. Kurt helped me insure that I would not become a burden on my loved ones by helping me transfer the risk from us to the carrier. My only regret was I should have applied to own a policy earlier because it would have saved me money, but I guess the next best time was now. Thank you so much Kurt, Jeanne S. of Atlanta, GA
William - NJ  --  Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Feb - 2010 William S. - NJ I quickly found out that there is not a Plan A B or C with premiums that go with Plan A B or C, there is is large number of options that I could choose from and really customize and personalize plan to my wants and needs. Kurt helped us determine the right amount of benefits that will deal with the Now and a plan that will deal with Future and it's this method that insured that I was not over insuring and paying more premium that is needed and also not under insuring and thinking that I was covered. Very professional and more importantly he "Listens!" After going through the whole process, I strongly recommend that you look at using an actual LTCi Specialist, opposed to using just an agent. There is a difference! Regards William S. of NJ.

Jan-10 I visited my Financial Advisor and after I left I realized that my Financial Advisor gave me a general overview on this type of coverage that needed to be customized to my wants and needs not to meet the needs and wants of the mass public. That is when I was connected to LTC Financial Partners, an agency that specializes in educating the public on private plans. Kurt Lauman helped me buy a Long Term Care Insurance Policy, he was truly a LTC Specialists. Thanks and Best of wishes Kurt.
